The soap opera actor, popular in the 1990s, died on May 1 at his home in Mexico City. In recent years, Gaston suffered from chronic illnesses. The sad news was confirmed by representatives of the National Association of Translators of Mexico. Tuset was 80 years old.

The actor is well known to Russian viewers and fans of Mexican dramas. He played the role of Roque in the series Wild Rose and also portrayed Dr. Suarez on screen in the film The Rich Also Cry. Veronica Castro, one of the most famous Mexican stars, was his partner in both projects. At the same time, “The Rich Also Cry” became the second Latin American series shown in the USSR, after the Brazilian telenovela. “Slave of Isaura. A total of 244 episodes were presented to viewers.

Gaston was born on October 19, 1942 in Buenos Aires. He dreamed of an acting career since childhood. When the young man could not realize himself in his native Argentina, he moved to Mexico and made the right decision – Tuset soon began to actively act in films. In addition, he made his debut in the cinema already at a mature age, so he most often got the roles not of the first machos, but of settled impressive men.

In 1975, at the age of 33, he starred in the first television series Valentine as Angel. His filmography includes successful series – “Black tears”, “No one but you”, “My second mother”, “True Love” and others. In total, Tuset participated in 37 television series and one feature film during his rich creative life. He appeared in 27 projects as an actor and in 10 as a director.

Gaston often collaborated with Claudia Elisa Aguila, Juan Carlos Muñoz and other famous Mexican directors. The result of these tandems were popular projects – “Two Faces of Passion”, “Dear Enemy”, “Love Again” and others.

In 2008-2009, the artist starred in two projects – “I love Juan Querendon” and “Noble scammers”. His last film work was the series “Not with you, not without you” in 2011. After that, the artist left for health reasons, according to Ruetir.

Tuset admitted that he considers himself an artist with comedic character traits, in all series his characters often smile. In addition, the Argentine agreed only to positive roles and refused to embody negative characters on the screen.
