Curly and skinny: Malicious Dudley Dursley from “Harry Potter” has changed beyond recognition

Actor Harry Melling is best known for his role as Dudley Dursley, the mischievous cousin of the main character Harry Potter. He starred in the films of the magical saga from 2001 to 2009. After that, we lost sight of him a little, and Harry did not stop acting.

However, it was not difficult to lose him – the actor has changed a lot in appearance. In addition, the transformation took place on the set in 2009, when the 20-year-old Harry dramatically lost weight. On set, Harry even had to wear a special suit to maintain his character’s familiar figure.

However, Melling himself was happy and believed that such a sharp change in image would allow him to quickly restart his career and try new roles. However, it was difficult to associate him with only Dudley. Harry was completely transformed – instead of a ridiculously fat teenager, a slim, curly and handsome young man appeared in front of the public.

Melling has acted in the theater and acted in films and television series. For example, you could see him in the movie The Lost City of Z and the popular TV series The Queen’with Move.

I must say that Harry is a very popular actor – at least one film with his participation is released every year. In 2023, the premiere of the film “The All-Seeing Eye” took place, where he played the young Edgar Allan Poe.
