Daria, what do you prefer as a viewer – movies or series?

Series. If only because they come out more often than movies. And so the main criterion for me is the quality of the product.

What about genres?

The priority is dramatic stories and fantasy (I like that a lot!). But in general I try as much as possible to watch all the home movie production so that I have an awareness of what my colleagues are doing. And of course I don’t miss quality foreign projects from good directors.

Can you turn off and not perceive the image from the position of a professional?

Probably not until the end. But I’m a grateful viewer who just wants to switch off, be surprised, live life with the characters. The professional prevails when the project is not very interesting: you start to wonder why it didn’t work out and what could be changed.

When you throw yourself into a role, is it easy for you to get out of it?

I strictly separate acting work and life. I find the “immersion” and “departure” (or absence) very traumatic. For me, acting is a game, a mask. But life is completely different.

Yes, there are roles that require more involvement: for example, when you work on a very complex picture for a long time – it does not matter if it is in a film or a series. But still, the actors are not crazy: nothing makes me suddenly start talking or thinking like my character. I think it is wrong to take their roles in life. And is it real? I think you see the qualities you want in your hero. But do you get them by playing a role? I doubt it.

So you haven’t become Lena Široková for years when you play her in “Kept Women”?

No. But it also works in the opposite direction: I endow the character with some of my own qualities that are not written in the script.

By the way, carry on START just released a new season of The Keep Women. What does this project mean to you after so many years?

I am very proud of this work and the series as a whole. He gave me a new round of popularity as an artist. It was obvious that my age and nature, the prescribed image of Lena Shirokova and Kostya Bogomolov’s school were harmoniously combined – fire inside and ice outside. The character turned out to be alive and attracted the attention of the viewer.

However, I have no desire to become a one-role performer. I would like to be known as Dasha Moroz and no “star of ‘Keeped Women'”.

And a little more about this project. Thanks to him, among other things, we now look at explicit scenes in the cinema in a new way.

In every candid scene “Kept Women” is a drama that reveals the characters and the development of their relationship. That’s why it makes such a strong impression.

For a Russian person, the topic of the naked body is closed, and it is great when such projects affect the audience, liberating them. Although I don’t think that cinema can change anything globally, it can give direction, indicate that we are the body and we have to love it, accept it.

April 13th START will premiere the series “Living Life” – in my opinion very timely in its subject matter, as it talks about unhealthy relationships, codependency and manipulation.

Yes, it is one of those projects in which I not only acted, but also participated in the work on the script. Such projects must exist, because our series not only describes psychological manipulations, but also shows how to recognize them, how to treat them. Many people live something like this and honestly do not understand why they suffer. “Living Life” is a therapeutic film, and such projects are the most interesting for me. You try out a lot for yourself, patch up some holes, start thinking about important things. That’s cool.

More and more, directors consider my heroines to be pivotal, strong-willed – and these are some of the qualities I possess. Plus I’m almost 40 so it’s only natural. In life, I am a collected person, but sensitive and vulnerable – maybe this is where my external hardness comes from, which protects me from some extra people and unnecessary situations. I have the impression that it is better not to approach me (laughs).
