Harry Potter returns to the screens: they decided to make a series about the wizard with a scar 04/13/2023, 10:10

The HBO Max streaming platform has started producing a series about a young wizard. “Max has commissioned the first ever Harry Potter TV series, a faithful adaptation of the iconic books,” reads the official release.

The executive producer of the project is the British writer JK Rowling. She will advise the creators, but she will not write the script herself. Not even the leading actors of the films about the wizard with a scar will return to the screens: Daniel Radcliffe and his partners will be replaced by other actors.

The series will consist of seven seasons: according to the number of books about a boy who managed to survive after meeting the main evil wizard of all time. “Each season will be authentic to the original books and will introduce Harry Potter and his incredible adventures to new audiences around the world,” said the creators of the project.

The writer who created the magical saga is waiting to start work on the series. “I’m looking forward to being a part of this new adaptation, which will bring a level of depth and detail that only a full TV series can achieve,” Joan was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

The actor who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter films died last year. Potions professor Severus Snape also died.
