Denise Richards and Heather Locklear met through Charlie Sheen, who was Denise’s husband in the early 2000s and co-starred with Heather in Spin City. The women became close and began to spend time together often. Personal drama could also bring them together – both divorced their husbands at the same time, in 2006. But then the friendship fell apart.

After all, the beginnings of the drama between Heather and Denise go back to a man – Richie Sambor, whom Heather just divorced after 11 years of marriage.

Once her boyfriend separated from his ex-husband, Denise began dating Richie, leading to rumors that she was the reason for their divorce. However, Richards strongly denied this.

“You don’t get to choose who you fall in love with and unfortunately that friendship ended, it couldn’t be saved.” She wasn’t my best friend. She’s been a close friend for the last few years, but I didn’t know her all my life, as people want to present it,” Denise said.

“It was hard when people thought I was such a bad friend. I didn’t steal anyone’s husband. Was I dating my ex-girlfriend’s ex-husband? Yes. Did I ruin their marriage? No,” Richards defended herself from the haters.

However, Deniz’s relationship with Sambora did not last long – already in 2007, they parted ways. But the friendship with Heather was irreparable.
