Prince Harry’s wife is preparing for an important event in her life. Meghan will receive the top honor at the 2023 Women of Vision Awards from Ms. Foundation. The celebratory concert will take place on May 16 in the USA. The award will be presented to the Duchess of Sussex by leading American feminist Gloria Steinem, with whom she was able to become close after she and Prince Harry resigned from royal duties and moved to California.
Daughter-in-law of the British monarch Charles III. she was known for her “global advocacy to empower and protect the interests of women and girls”. The duchess’s name appeared on the list of laureates on the foundation’s website, and she was presented as a “feminist, defender of human rights and gender equality and a global role model”.
“We are thrilled to announce this year’s Women of Vision award winners and celebrate 50 years of progress and power,” Teresa K. Younger, the organization’s president and CEO, said in a statement. She added that Meghan, like the other awardees, are incredible leaders and are grateful for the opportunity to shine a light on their many accomplishments and tireless work for gender and racial equality across the country and the world.
The foundation supports feminist movements and raises funds for the organization’s strategic equality initiatives. Activists annually recognize leaders and partners who are committed to their mission to support the collective power of women and create a safe and just future for all.
“Recognized for her lifelong advocacy for women and girls, Meghan Markle remains a constant thread in her humanitarian and business efforts,” the post reads. The former royal’s profile on the event page also states that Meghan has been an advocate for political participation and women’s leadership, serving as a global ambassador for World Vision and lead consultant for One Young World in 2014. In 2022, the former American actress launched the record-breaking podcast Archetypes, which focuses on to stereotypes that try to hold women back.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Danielle Moody, who produces the daily Woke AF podcast. The program will feature “Sweet Honey” and the after party will feature DJ Mary Mack, radio host Angela Yeh and several other guest artists. A ticket to the gala costs $1,500 and a table can be reserved for $15,000.
