The parents of the 1.5-year-old girl invited only their closest friends to the ceremony. About 20 guests attended the ceremony, which took place at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s home in Montecito. Among them was the girl’s maternal grandmother, Doria Ragland. The godfather of the girl was the actor and director Tyler Perry, he flew from Atlanta together with a gospel choir of 10 people. The godmother’s name is not given.

An official representative of the Dukes of Sussex made the statement. “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was baptized on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Most Reverend John Taylor,” he told People.

American journalists caught the dukes in a lie. The Archbishop of Los Angeles is José H. Gomez. He is a Catholic bishop and did not baptize Lilibet. John Taylor is a bishop serving in the Diocese of Los Angeles. When the press approached the Sussexes for an explanation, their spokesman pointed out that Lilibet was baptized by an Anglican bishop and that it was not a Catholic baptism.
