The events took place in December, New Year’s Eve is always busy for actors – there were Christmas trees, New Year’s performances. Yuri was worried that he would have to give up the role of Santa Claus, which he loves very much.

A close friend and classmate, Leonid Yarmolnik, came to the artist’s aid. He calmed him down and promised help with the necessary contacts. “Lenya has been so supportive of me in this situation, I am just infinitely grateful to him. He said: “Yura, don’t worry, it’s all healing,” and he tells me the names of three people everyone knows who have already experienced this, “said the artist.

The very next day, the phone rang and Yuri went to the doctor. “They looked at the tests and said they were going to fight for my life. I was offered robotic surgery, but friends suggested several other options, including radiation therapy, which allows me to stay in theater. I went to work every morning for two months. Feelings not much, but the desire to work was great. I went through therapy, everything is fine – I am alive, healthy and I remain in business, “the artist assured in the studio of the talk show “Stars have joined” on NTV.
