The artistic director of the theater, Yevgeny Marchelli, explained that Filippenko planned long-term treatment abroad, which he announced at work. Eugene considers the actor’s return to the theater quite likely. “I think so. He is still such an amazing artist,” he explained in an interview with the CHEZ program on the RBC TV channel.
Director Yuri Kara, who made the film “The Master and Margarita”, spoke sharply about the departure of the actor. The director has a long-standing grudge against Filippenko because he agreed to star in Vladimir Bortek’s film adaptation of Bulgakov’s novel. “I don’t talk to traitors. He betrayed me when he agreed to play with Bortek. And then I don’t even know or see him anymore. And now he didn’t surprise me with anything, a professional traitor, that’s all, ”said Kara in an interview with News.ru.
Bortko also commented on the actor’s decision. “I am very surprised. I did not expect this from someone, but from him. It is even interesting, who offended him so much? — said the director.
Leah Akhedzhakova was fired from the Sovremennik theater. Director Alexander Molochnikov was outraged by this decision of the theater management. He also mentioned Alexander Filippenko.
