The actress, who played one of Rachel’s sisters in seasons 9 and 10 of Friends, is now unable to perceive herself on screen. Christina admitted that her appearance changed due to a serious illness.

It is an autoimmune disease that affects specific areas of the central nervous system, further leading to unpredictable physical, cognitive and emotional symptoms. There is no cure for multiple sclerosis, it only helps to relieve symptoms or slow the progression of the disease.

Christina could watch the new season of the series with her participation only after many months. “I don’t like to watch myself suffer. And I also gained 18 kilograms thanks to physical inactivity and medication. I didn’t look like me and I didn’t feel like me,” Applegate said in an interview with The Los Angeles Times.
