According to Forbes, 20-year-old German Kevin Lehmann currently tops the list of the youngest billionaires. Lehmann’s net worth was estimated at $3.4 billion in 2021, making him richer than Donald Trump (who then had “only” $3.2 billion), but Kevin’s net worth is now around $2.4 billion, according to the latest Forbes figures dollars.
He is the heir to a large family business, the chain of DM drugstores and hardware stores, founded as early as 1973. There are now 3,700 such stores in Germany. The network provides 41,000 jobs. According to sources, the company earns over $12 billion annually.
Kevin joined the ranks of the super-rich when he was still a teenager. His father Günter Lehmann gave his son his share in the company when he was 14 years old. But until the guy came of age, hired employees managed the property. Lehmann Jr. celebrated his 18th birthday in September 2020 and since then has been the full owner of 50% of the company. However, neither Kevin nor his father are said to be actively involved in the company’s operations. It is quite difficult to find out – both of them do not seek publicity, do not run social networks and do not give interviews. At one time, Günther Lehmann did not even want to comment on the transfer of shares to his son to the serious publication Wirtschaftswoche.
