Today, January 28, the new music show “Sweetie” starts on the TNT channel. In each of its releases, clips published by amateurs on the Internet, under the guidance of the project’s creative team, acquire a new sound. The resulting compositions are performed by pop stars, and the winner – the author of the original song – receives a financial reward. Comedy Club resident Andrei Averin is working on new arrangements and the entire musical component. In an exclusive interview with VOICE, the artist talked about how this musical comedy show is created.
– Andrei, you are responsible for the music in “Konfetok”. Tell us what impression you got from the first shoot of this project.
– We look forward to the release of our show with impatience and even with amazement. It was implemented from A to Z by our team. Yes, together with Zurab Matua and Pavel Gavrilenkov we are responsible for the music in it. So all the songs you will hear in this show are the result of our work. When the idea of the show “Konfetka” came, we immediately realized that it was something new and original, combining both the “folk show” element and the performances of the stars. We hope – and we are even sure that the viewer will like the project, and the 2nd, 3rd and 45th seasons are ahead. (smiles)

– What criteria did you use to select these 40 clips out of many clips?
– We would really like for viewers to have at least one of our “candy” – with the “heart” icon – in their favorites after watching the show in the playlist. In general, so that people “walk” these songs. During the preparation of the project, we checked an incredible number of different internet clips, there must have been more than 1500 of them. We had two main selection criteria: truthfulness and a funny component. First of all, the creator of the video must sincerely believe in what they are doing, so we have swept aside parody and frankly teasing videos. Secondly, in the video sequence, the text, the image, the way of execution, we looked for those humorous components that you can grab, that you can have fun with the author, that you can discuss with him. Among the songs that we finally chose, there are both those that have long since become memes, and very fresh compositions, but no less cool.
– Did you have disputes with Zurab and Pasha when choosing songs?
– Of course there were disputes, but since we are all very positive and creative, inspired, in this fraternal symbiosis we amicably and quickly went around all the corners. A harsh, ridiculous, sometimes poorly rhymed song turned out to be a completely different song through our creative manipulations – for example, some Internet hits did not have a chorus and we reassembled the song.
– How much did the presenter and producer of the show Garik Martirosyan interfere in your work?
“We didn’t say anything to anyone on purpose! It was a complete surprise for him, as well as for Marina Kravets. By the way, neither the presenters, nor the participants of the show and the members of the jury knew which star would demonstrate this or that “candy”. I’m sure the audience will be incredibly surprised too! This is the main charm of our project.
– Garik Martirosyan told Comedy Club that he paid special attention to funny videos. Were the authors of the original videos not offended that their clips are shown all over the country and discussed on stage?
– You know, it is these curious and unusual videos and songs, funny nursery rhymes and ridiculous video sequences that are priceless “dough” for us, from which we prepared our “sweets”. And the show showed that participants from different regions of Russia are very pleasant and adequate, although not all (Laughter), people. We did not intend to insult or humiliate the musicians in any way. On the contrary, we discussed everything with them, had fun, watched their own clips. The authors talked about their creations: how the song was born, why they were in such clothes, who are the other people who starred in the video, why the video was made in the first place and so on. It seems to me that for many performers, getting their work on the big screen is a chance, an unexpected gift. I think they are happy. – Tina Kandelaki said that in the show “Sweetie” there was Olga Buzova with a broken voice. Do you think the singer objectively assessed the vocal performance of the performers? And how did the broken voice affect her participation in the project?
– First of all, an unspoken rule – no self-respecting music show should do without Olga Buzova. Especially on the jury. (Laughter) He has dozens of hits to his credit, in which he makes notes that I never even dreamed of (in my nightmares). She most likely broke her voice when she went on a new music record with a transition to a higher register. Secondly, I do not think that I have enough experience and authority to evaluate a person who performed on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater. (smiles) Olya’s voice in the jury, although rigged, remained significant throughout the project.
– Garik Kharlamov noted that on other programs of the TNT channel – “Open Mic”, “Songs”, “Dances” – the prices were several million rubles, and on the show “Sweetie” – only 300 thousand. why is that?
– True, to get these millions of rubles, you have to go through many tours, wait a million hours, and you can get the money only at the end of the season. If you win of course. Otherwise, he will receive millions more – the only person for an entire season of the show. And we in “Konfetka” will delight one of the participants in each issue. Every issue someone gets 300k. He does not wait for the end of the season, he does not go through nine rounds of the show. At the end of each issue, we look into the happy, blazing eyes of the winner, who immediately walks away with the prize. In each edition, we will gladly present the winner with a certificate and a coveted statuette.
During the presentation of the show, Buzová assured that she sat in the chair of the judge Candy more than once. “The television industry cannot do without me,” Olga pointed out.
