Prince William’s wife has decided to please haters who criticize her for wearing too expensive clothes at a time when millions of British families are struggling with the crisis. The flamboyant British royal couple visited a food bank in Windsor. Kate and William spoke to staff at Windsor Foodshare, which collects donations and helps families struggling financially.
The Princess of Wales looked elegant in an outfit from the high street segment. She was wearing a fuchsia Hobbs turtleneck. For her, Middleton picked up a coat of a similar shade from the same brand worth 299 pounds (25 thousand rubles). They were accompanied by stylish black trousers with a high waist and a leather belt.
The image of a royal person was completed by laconic golden hoop earrings and pointed black suede pumps on stilettos. The Princess of Wales’s hair was given extra volume and flowed loosely over her shoulders, and she was given a daytime make-up with smoky eyeshadow, a subtle blush palette and glossy nude lipstick.
Prince William chose a casual look – a blue shirt, dark green sweater, jacket, jeans and his favorite brown suede shoes. The couple were in a good mood, communicating with the volunteers.
Service staff told guests about the charity’s guiding principles, which boil down to treating everyone equally and not judging their circumstances. Volunteers noted that the rising cost of living, which continues in the UK, is directly affecting the growth in demand for their services.
Representatives of the organization explained that they provide assistance to families in need, collecting referrals from various sources – schools, doctors, social services, churches… Members of the royal family helped collect food packages, while Kate Middleton and Prince William joked among themselves about who packages better, reports the Daily Mail.
This is not the first time the couple has visited food banks. Kate has previously highlighted the importance of such organizations as more and more people find themselves below the poverty line and unable to buy food and hygiene items. “There are a lot of desperate people out there because of a life crisis. The food bank has become a lifesaver for so many people, especially due to the pandemic and in the face of a sharp increase in prices,” said the wife of the heir to the throne.
