All shades of emerald: Kate Middleton charmed Americans in an outfit by British brands

Representatives of the British monarchy presented the Earthshot Award at Boston City Hall. Kate Middleton did not let the bad weather spoil her mood. She appeared at the event in a green ensemble made up of British brands. So the wife of Prince William emphasized the theme of the evening – the green life of the planet.

A Burberry check midi bodycon dress with long sleeves and a gathered waist accentuated Kate’s slim figure. The outfit was completed with classic Emma London pumps worth $430 and a dark green Mulberry Amerbli bag for $1,035.

The Princess of Wales was protected from the wind and rain by a coat by her favorite designer, Alexander McQueen. This is a beautifully sewn model made of dark green fabric. Middleton completed the look with a pair of $85 pearl earrings from British jewelry brand Shyla London.

The latter brand has its ethical motives, which certainly corresponds to the focus of the Earthshot Prize. “In the world of fast fashion, consumerism is turning the planet into a clothing store paradise, while polluting the environment and contributing enormously to climate change. However, if you choose wisely and buy less, you can start a great job. Even our beautiful packaging is made from recycled materials. We are proud to be guided by ethical considerations,” reads the manufacturer’s message.

At the Earthshot presentation, Kate supported her husband as he gave the acceptance speech on stage. Along with government officials, the royal family pressed a symbolic button that lit up 16 Boston landmarks with green light, the Daily Mail reports.

The incident occurred an hour after the Prince and Princess of Wales landed in the US. They arrived for the overseas tour on a commercial British Airways flight from London to Boston Logan International Airport. The fact that the couple left the charter boat also demonstrated their commitment to sustainability.

Kate made a fashion statement for her first appearance in the US as she stepped off the plane in a sleek $3,000 navy blue Alexander McQueen suit. She also paid tribute to Princess Diana by wearing her favorite sapphire and diamond earrings.
