The widow of director Stanislav Govorukhin died: Galina burned to death in her house

The tragedy happened today in the cottage village of Lesnoye Ozero. At about 3 p.m., the attic of the house, in which Stanislav Sergeevich himself had previously lived, caught fire. Personal belongings and furniture exploded. The fire affected an area of ​​100 square meters.

Firefighters battled the fire for more than two hours. It was extinguished at 18:06. Then the workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations discovered the body of the pensioner. “The widow of Stanislav Govorukhin, Galina, died in a fire in the cottage village of Lesnoye Ozero,” rescue services told TASS.

As it turned out, the housekeeper was with her. She was able to get out when it caught fire.

Galina Govorukhina was born in 1948 in the family of a stage designer and costume designer of the Operetta Theater. The girl dreamed of becoming an actress. Her father invited her to the Odesa Film Studio so that she could stay in an acting environment. Galina became an editor – she helped put the sound under the picture.

Her first work was the film “Vertical”. Vladimir Vysotsky showed the girl signs of attention, but then she was already in love with Stanislav Sergeevich, so she did not reciprocate the singer.

Galina became the wife of Govorukhin. They had no children, as the only pregnancy ended in miscarriage due to severe hypothermia. The director’s chosen one considered it “God’s providence” – according to her, she was so dissolved in love for her husband that she could hardly share this feeling with the child.

They have been married for over 50 years. Stanislav Govorukhin died on June 14, 2018 in the Barvikha sanatorium after a long illness. The director was 82 years old. His death was a heavy blow for Galina. She was a private person.
