Indian cinema is an excellent anti-depressant. It’s funny, nostalgic, incredible (in every sense of the word). We practically know many movies by heart. Take the melodrama Seeta and Geeta (Seeta Aur Geeta): the film was released exactly 50 years ago – in 1972, but many still enjoy watching it.
Hema Malini played the lead role of twin sisters Zita and Gita who were separated at an early age. (real name – Hemamalini Ramanujam Chakravarty). At the time of filming, the Indian beauty was only 23 years old.
Hema actively acted until 2000, after which she and her husband went into politics and only occasionally returned to cinema. She made her own film in 2011, but it flopped at the box office.
Today, Malini is 73 years old but still looks great. We would even say envy. Even in personal life and career, everything is fine. Together with her husband Dharam Singh, they raised two daughters and made a fortune – about 850 million dollars.
