The regular participant of the “Ice Age” program was released from Kommunarka last week, where he spent 175 days. To save the athlete’s life, doctors amputated his legs and arms. Roman was able to overcome depression. The support of his wife, friends and fans helped him in this. The figure skater received letters from viewers coming to the performances of the stars of the Ilya Averbukh program.

Kostomarov started training in the hospital under the supervision of doctors. Today he proved that he is not going to slow down the pace of recovery. The 46-year-old athlete shared a video shot in the gym.

Roman trained in a white jersey, black shorts and temporary prostheses. This time, however, dumbbells were tied to his arms. Three obstacles were prepared for the skater, he slowly climbed over them and then descended. It is evident that even if it is given to him with difficulty. “Barriers of Life!!!” – Kostomarov described his current state.

Taťána Navka assured that her former partner, with whom she won the Olympics in 2006, can overcome all the current difficult obstacles and return to the ice. “I’m sure he will go on the ice, I don’t know in what position, but he will go. I communicate with him a lot, I know it’s not that easy, but I believe in his return. He is very strong and will overcome this barrier,” Dmitry Peskov’s wife told RIA Novosti.

Kostomarov admitted this week that his recovery has not been without difficulties. However, he made fun of himself in training. “I am like a woman after childbirth. I deal with the adductors. It’s not easy,” said Roman.
