The Volvo XC40 is doing very well in the Netherlands. Almost 35,000 have been sold since its launch in 2018. It is also noteworthy that the sales figures per year remain fairly constant.

The Volvo XC40 is a huge sales success

In 2021 Volvo managed to sell almost as many XC40s as in 2020: almost 8500. And if we look at the sales figures in the first few months of 2023, the compact SUV will get there again this year. In 2022 there was only one drop to “only” 6835.

The compact EX30 was introduced in a month

Volvo will soon introduce an SUV under the XC40. It’s all electric, will be called the EX30 and will be unveiled in a month. That’s him. At least these are his patent drawings from the Chinese Patent Office.

As you can see, the look of the EX30 is a combination of the XC40 and the new EX90. In particular, the nose, the headlights and the taillights correspond to those of the large SUV.

Technically on a par with the Smart #1

We already know the technical bases of the EX30, it will be on the same platform as the Smart #1, which has a 66kWh battery and produces 272hp and 428hp respectively. Its range is over 400 kilometers.

Volvo comes with a subscription model

What the EX30 will cost is of course not yet known, but Volvo has already announced that there will be a subscription model. In other words, the EX30 can be driven like the popular Lynk & Co 01 for a fixed monthly fee.
