Glamping: Off-roading with a Rolls-Royce with a roof tent
An SUV is originally a car that can also be driven off-road, right? Then this is a Rolls-Royce Cullinan as it should be.
People buying a Cullinan probably don’t think about going off the beaten track. Because what if you damage those very expensive alloy wheels? Or when a branch puts its signature in the paint – which is the same shade as the pen you first wrote with as a child? That’s right, as a Cullinan owner, you shouldn’t think about it. Nevertheless, the German specialists from delta4x4 come up with an off-road creation.
months of work
Delta4x4 calls this project “The Rolls-Royce for the rough” and that makes it clear what the goal of this Cullinan is: to discover the world. The Bavarian men said they “put many months of work” into this conversion even before a potential buyer knocked on the door for this creation. This car has since been sold to someone in the Middle East, but anyone can knock on the door for a comparable model.
Delta4x4 increased ground clearance (at least 80 millimeters) and added a roof rack to accommodate a rooftop tent on the Cullinan. As well as huge headlights, which the Germans also mounted on the Cullinan’s bullbar.
The track width has grown by 150 millimeters. Hence the worn wheelhouses. These are also filled by 20-inch Real Beadlock wheels and 33-inch Mickey Thompson tires.
V12
Delta4x4 doesn’t tinker with the engine, but that’s not necessary either. The tasty 6.75-liter V12 is still good for 570 hp and 850 Nm. However, the Germans put a different exhaust system under the handsome Brit for ‘better performance’ and a nicer sound.
Where we usually don’t really see the prices for such a conversion, delta4x4 immediately shares all prices. If you want the complete package, you pay 150,000 euros to the company from southern Germany. But you can also knock on their door for specific upgrades. Just want the bigger wheels and ground clearance? It costs 30 grand. The worn wheel arches and fender flares are on the price list for 14,000 euros. Do you prefer the PIAA spotlights? Then you can deduct 2500 euros.
Snorkel for Cullinan
The only option that doesn’t have a price yet is the snorkel. It still has to be homologated. Would you dare go down with your Cullinan mug?
