The 1108 hp Porsche Taycan Turbo GT will break your neck in no time

People with weak neck muscles: be careful! The 1108 hp Porsche Taycan Turbo GT accelerates to 100 km/h so quickly that, to be honest, you’re afraid of whiplash.

The Taycan Turbo GT is the most powerful production car that Porsche has ever built. Normally the power is 789 hp, but when using launch control this increases to a maximum of 1108 hp.

Porsche claims an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h of 2.3 seconds for the Taycan Turbo GT. Can it be done even faster? Yes, if you order the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package.

There is no second row of seats, less sound insulation and only one charging port that can no longer be operated electrically. This makes the Weissach around 70 kilos lighter than the Turbo GT, which already weighs 75 kilos less than the Turbo S.

It saves 0.1 second compared to the standard sprint, giving the Weissach a time of 2.2 seconds. It even accelerates to 200 km/h in 6.4 seconds (!) and the top speed is 305 km/h.

The Weissach has also been aerodynamically optimized with a fixed rear spoiler that generates a maximum of 220 kilos of downforce and all sorts of additional elements under the floor.

Range of 555 kilometers

Both versions of the Taycan Turbo GT have 1340 Nm of torque and a range of up to 555 kilometers. An active suspension is standard.

Behind the 21-inch wheels of the Turbo GT are carbon ceramic brakes. As a driver, you sit on lightweight bucket seats. In the Netherlands the Taycan Turbo GT costs 249,900 euros.

By the way, Porsche immediately took it to the racetrack. The Weissach set an electric record of 1:27.87 minutes in Laguna Seca. The Turbo GT was already in use in Germany a little earlier.

With 7:07.55 minutes he set a new class record on the Nordschleife. This meant the Taycan Turbo GT was no less than 26 seconds faster than the Turbo S, which set a time in 2022.
