Dive into the price list: Subaru Crosstrek as the XV successor
The Subaru XV has been called Subaru Crosstrek since the new model generation. What does the new model have to offer? We familiarize ourselves with a look at the price list.
Subaru is only a small player in the Netherlands. If you missed the launch of an all-new generation Subaru XV, we don’t think there’s any shame in it. With the new model generation, the model also received a new name: Subaru Crosstrek. Although, new name, in North America the first model was already called that. As is now usual, North America (including) also received the scoop for the new model in 2022, and this year it is also the turn of the European market. At the end of last year we were allowed to drive the car.
Subaru Crosstrek always hybrid
The new Subaru Crosstrek is primarily an evolution of the previous XV. That means: an off-road version of the Impreza hatchback that is no longer available in the Netherlands. When it comes to engines, only the 2.0 hybrid remains. This means you have a four-cylinder boxer engine with 110 kW (150 hp) and a torque of 194 Nm at your disposal.
A CVT automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. Despite hybrid technology, the average consumption is 7.7 l/100 km (1 in 13), which is not very economical for an off-roader.
Versions and prices Subaru Crosstrek
Unfortunately, the BPM system doesn’t take this into account and you end up paying a lot of taxes. This means that the starting price of the Subaru Crosstrek is 51,800 euros… This is offset by extensive standard equipment. Some highlights: 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights and taillights, heated mirrors, keyless entry, leather steering wheel, heated front seats, 4.2-inch digital instruments (partial) and 11.6-inch touchscreen for infotainment. In addition, there are the extensive driver assistance and safety systems Subaru EyeSight.
In addition to the standard Comfort model, there are also the Luxury (53,800 euros) and Premium (55,800 euros) versions. The Luxury also offers 18-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable front seats, high beam assistant, navigation and additional USB ports. You also get X-Mode, which adjusts the drivetrain even better on slippery or steep surfaces. The Premium’s only extras are a power tilt/slide roof and leather upholstery. We focus on luxury.
Outdoor decoration
For the body, Subaru offers a colorful palette that we unfortunately rarely see. Although white is selected by default, the two signature colors of light blue and light red are available at no additional cost. Any other color costs an additional 750 euros.
In addition to white, you can also choose black or a shade of gray, but also two shades of blue or a kind of orange-red. Ultimately we choose the latter. Something other than “normal” red or blue. There are no other wheel options.
Interior decoration
We can also complete the interior quickly, as the standard black fabric upholstery is also the only option.
Packages and individual options
This brings us to the end of the configurator and the price list, because Subaru does not offer individual options. What equipment you have on board and what you don’t depends entirely on your choice of equipment level. All you have to do is choose the most beautiful body color.
Assemble the Subaru Crosstrek yourself
This means that the final price of our configuration remains at 55,995 euros. Not cheap for a hatchback, but then you have one of the most striking models in the segment. Unfortunately, the configurator does not display any interior images, so this time we have taken the interior photos below from the press kit.
