Dive into the price list: the new Toyota C-HR
The new Toyota C-HR continues where its predecessor left off. Once again he combines hybrid technology with a strikingly designed carriage. By looking at the price list we discover what else it has to offer.
The new second-generation Toyota C-HR has a sleeker design than the first model, but is certainly no less futuristic. In terms of design, because underneath a lot of things remain more or less the same. The concept also remains unchanged: the hybrid technology is combined with a striking “crossover” body, some of which is now optionally available in black. Practical features are still not the focus, but there is now the Toyota Corolla Cross.
Technical data Toyota C-HR
The new Toyota C-HR is available with three powertrains. The 1.8 Hybrid is standard, a “normal” hybrid with 103 kW (140 hp) and an average consumption of 4.7 l/100 km. Above this is the 2.0 Hybrid with 145 kW (197 hp) and an average consumption of 4.8 l/100 km. The extra horsepower makes for a slightly faster sprint: 100 km/h can be reached in 7.9 seconds, compared to 9.9 seconds for the 1.8 Hybrid. That is also the biggest difference. The trailer weight, for example, is still only 725 kg. The top engine is the 2.0 plug-in hybrid. With an output of 164 kW (223 hp), it is slightly faster (7.4 seconds to 100 km/h), but of course more economical with a consumption of 0.8 l/100 km. All models (in the Netherlands) have a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Versions and standard equipment Toyota C-HR
On the occasion of the market launch, you can currently choose not only the First Edition, but also two Première Editions. For simplicity, we leave these temporary models as they are. This leaves four regular equipment levels: Active, Dynamic, Executive and GR Sport Plus.
Standard equipment (Active) includes 17-inch alloy wheels, heated exterior mirrors, automatic high beam, fabric upholstery, 7-inch digital instruments, 8-inch touchscreen for infotainment (Toyota Smart Connect, incl. Remote Services), navigation with four-year Cloud subscription and the usual basis of assistance and security systems.
We won’t go into the additional equipment of the higher levels in detail, but we will highlight a few highlights. With the Dynamic, for example, you get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and overall higher-quality workmanship. From the Executive you get adaptive headlights, the larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, partial leatherette and suede upholstery, and cabin air purification. Above all, the GR Sport Plus ensures a sportier look.
Prices Toyota C-HR
How much does it all cost? The Toyota C-HR is available from 37,295 euros for the 1.8 Hybrid, from 42,495 euros for the 2.0 Hybrid and from 45,995 euros for the 2.0 Plug-in Hybrid. Apart from the temporary entry-level models, almost every equipment level can be combined with every engine. Only for the GR Sport Plus you need at least one of the 2.0 models.
Which one do we take? The 2.0 Hybrid is the most powerful unplugged version and consumes almost as much as the 1.8 Hybrid. If we were to actually order a Toyota C-HR, we would choose the temporary First Edition, which is between Dynamic and Executive in terms of equipment. If we limit ourselves to the regular equipment variants for reasons of comfort, it will be the more richly equipped Executive.
Outdoor decoration
The new Toyota C-HR comes standard in white with a contrasting black roof. For 348 euros, the car is completely painted in metallic black. For 895 euros you can choose one of the other metallic colors: dark gray, metallic white, dark blue and even very dark purple. “Premium paint” red and pearl white are available for 1,350 euros. In the Executive version, all colors are combined with a black roof as standard. After some hesitation between red, we decided on Midnight Teal. Dark blue, but a slightly different color than usual. The completely black back is not an option for the selected variant, but does not pose a problem.
There is basically no wheel selection for the selected variant. You can opt for winter tires that come with a set of 19-inch dark gray alloy wheels. Depending on your tire choice, there are no additional costs for choosing winter tires or they cost an additional 3,995 euros.
Interior decoration
This week we are also finishing this category quickly, as there are no further upholstery options or decoration options for the selected variant.
