Recognize the differences: the “all-new” Porsche Panamera

“Porsche is introducing an all-new Panamera,” says the press release. We call it a facelift à la Porsche. As usual, the differences are small. So time for the game Look for the differences. Can you spot all the changes to the Porsche Panamera?

We will help you and discuss the differences. Porsche is often a bit cautious when it comes to facelifts. We also saw this with the recently refreshed Cayenne. Of course, it is a bit of an exaggeration to say that almost nothing has changed. If you look closely, you can definitely see the differences.

Facelift of the Porsche Panamera

Let’s start with the appearance. At the front we see a more aggressively designed bumper and more angular headlights, matching the light units of the revised Cayenne.

We also see modified lamps at the back. The light bar that runs across the entire rear of the Porsche Panamera no longer has a recess and enthusiasts will notice that the rear bumper also looks a little different.

Changes in the interior

Get into the Porsche Panamera and you will soon discover more differences. The steering wheel is slightly different and now has a colorless logo. The…The Transfer Switch was moved to the right behind the steering wheel, as was the case with the Cayenne. This cleared up the central tunnel.

What you don’t immediately see: The Germans now offer HD matrix LED headlights for the Porsche Panamera, several new driving assistance systems are available and the sports sedan now also has improved air suspension.

Turbo E-Hybrid even more powerful

Anyone who wants a hybrid drive in their Porsche Panamera can choose from four different variants. The most powerful variant, the Turbo E-Hybrid, has an improved 4.0-liter V8 under the hood that works together with a new 190 hp electric motor. Both together produce 680 hp and 930 Nm of torque. Enough for a sprint from 0 to 100 in 3.2 seconds. With a 25.9 kWh battery pack, a purely electric range of up to 91 kilometers is possible according to the WLTP measurement method.

“Porsche has also optimized the performance of the 2.9-liter V6 turbo engine in the Panamera and Panamera 4 by increasing turbo pressure, fuel injection speed and ignition timing,” the brand said. The engine produces 353 hp and 500 Nm of torque, 23 hp and 50 Nm of torque more than before.
