The Tesla Cybertruck is now matte black and stained and drives with its top manager
The introduction of the Tesla Cybertruck seems imminent. After years of waiting, Elon Musk’s electric pickup truck is increasingly being spotted in the wild. This was also the case this week when a top EV brand executive decided to take a detour in his matte black Cybertruck.
The fact that the eccentric pickup truck is being spotted more and more often doesn’t tell the whole story. Pre-production versions of the electric car have been being tested on public roads for some time. But the fact that the first production version recently rolled off the assembly line and CEO Elon Musk claimed earlier this year that the model would now be delivered promises a lot.
Matt black Tesla Cybertruck spotted
The model is actually always shown with unpainted stainless steel sheet. Los Angeles residents were surprised when they suddenly saw a matte black Cybertruck with a prominent Tesla figure inside driving down the street.

We’re not talking about Elon Musk, but rather about chief designer Franz von Holzhausen. He decided to set course for that.Teslas & Coffee’ in Santa Monica. The same as the famous car event Cars & Coffee, but for fans of the EV brand. They couldn’t believe their eyes when a real Tesla Cybertruck suddenly drove up.
Elon Musk may offer new colors
The pick-up was probably not painted in this matt black color, but rather wrapped. When wrapping a car, all panels are covered with a colored film. This is often cheaper than spraying a car a different color, and you can always peel it off if you change your mind.

The fact that the Tesla Cybertruck’s matte wrap film was discovered could indicate that Elon Musk wants to offer the electric pickup in other colors. In America you can order a Model 3 and Model Y with foil for an additional charge. This makes it one of the first brands to offer a factory wrap for a new car.
