Why the ugliest Alfa Romeo is worth a lot of money
Although Italy is the land of elegance and beautiful cars, the Fiat Multipla and the Alfa Romeo Arna prove that they can also build less beautiful cars in the trunk of Europe. However, nothing is as ugly as this Alfa.
Last week we showed a special Giulia QV that is quite sensitive to taste. However, every Autovisie reader found the structure unsightly. Things may be different with this Milano.
Of course, whether a car is ugly or not is completely subjective. Still, I dare say this is the most unattractive Alfa.
Alfa Romeo Castagna Vittoria
This model therefore never went into production. This Alfa was built by Castagna Vittoria, an Italian coachbuilder. The model was shown at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. Afterwards nothing happened to the design. Not strange, but it makes this car unique. Only one was built.
The special car is basically an Alfa Romeo 75. However, the design no longer resembles this classic at all. The Castagna Vittori carriage is made entirely of aluminum.
Busso V6 and manual transmission
Under the hood is a wonderful 3.0-liter Busso V6 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 255 hp power plant has only had a few kilometers behind it. The odometer only shows 2500 kilometers.
In addition to a beautiful powertrain, the ugliest Alfa also features shock absorbers from Koni and brakes from Brembo. So the car probably drives better than it looks.
Expected yield Alfa Romeo Castagna Vittori
The Alfa Romeo Castagna Vittori will be auctioned at Car & Classic on November 15th. The proceeds are – miraculously – estimated at 145,000 to 155,000 euros.
