This is how expensive it is to build the cheapest electric mini
The new Cooper is the cheapest all-electric Mini. The EV has a starting price of 35,990 euros. But how much does it cost to make the model?
Autovisie dives into the configuration and checks all options. How expensive can we make the car?
The most expensive and cheapest electric mini
We initially decide on the SE variant. The cheaper E with 180 hp and a range of 305 kilometers is available from just under 36 grand. For the SE with 218 hp and 402 kilometers of range you spend at least 38,990 euros.
In order to immediately increase the price, we immediately choose the Mini Cooper SE in the John Cooper Works version. The price is now almost 48 grand. We don’t have to pay extra for a color. We also can’t change the 18-inch wheels. In this case, you don’t have to pay extra for the stripes on the hood, they are already included in the JCW package.
The “Package XL” can still be checked. You then get features like auto-dimming mirrors, a panoramic glass roof, a better sound system and clutter-free seats.
No charging cables
To charge the cheapest and most expensive electric mini, you can opt for the “Charge Pack” with a home charging station for just under 1,600 euros. There is also a normal charging cable, which is unnecessary with the Charge Pack. Other adapters can also be ordered, but strictly speaking – like the chargers – they are not included in the scope of delivery of the most expensive version of this car. Therefore, we do not include the chargers in the calculation.
That’s what the Mini Cooper costs
The most expensive electric mini costs 51,640 euros. That’s around 15.5 thousand euros more than the entry-level model.
