The 900 hp Opel Kadett makes things very difficult for a McLaren 720S

More performance usually costs more money. Nevertheless, this Opel Kadett manages to make it very difficult for a McLaren 720S in a drag race. However, this also cost a lot of time and money.

In the races, the Opel initially beats a Dodge Challenger. Things get really exciting with the McLaren.

Opel Kadett E

The Opel is basically a Kadett E that was produced from 1984 to 1991. Although there were fast GSi variants with around 116 hp, they were never cars that could give real super sports cars a hard time. Unless, of course, they were seriously addressed by tuners.

900 hp

This Opel Kadett E is one of those that has been thoroughly overhauled. The nose still has the four-cylinder engine with 16 valves, but equipped with all sorts of upgrades. Not everything is known about the tuning, but – as we can hear – the hatchback has a turbo that is supposed to deliver 2.4 bar of pressure. The result is a 900 hp Opel Kadett.

This car makes things very difficult for a McLaren 720S. In fact, a normal 720S wouldn’t even have beaten the Opel. The McLaren in the drag racing video was tuned to 1,200 hp. The British supercar only just manages to beat the German hatchback. Despite losing the race, the Opel Kadett GSi is a special building.
