Skoda makes the Enyaq 1000 euros more expensive, but that’s not without reason
Skoda is making the Enyaq 1000 euros more expensive with the 77 kWh battery pack. Why? The brand has made SUVs and coupes more powerful and efficient.
The Skoda Enyaq is also available with a 58 kWh battery. This model remains and remains at the price of 44,990 euros.
Why the Skoda Enyaq is 1000 euros more expensive
Skoda says the new Enyaq is a big upgrade over the old model with the 77kWh battery? But what are the differences?
-
More reach
The new Skoda Enyaq has received an improved electric motor and software. This means you can no longer reach 545 kilometers, but the WLTP range is now 565 kilometers. Not a big difference, but still 20 kilometers! The coupé now travels 573 kilometers.
-
Faster loading
The adjustments also affect the loading time. The previous Skoda Enyad iV 80 optionally supported 125 kW fast charging.
That means you can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 38 minutes. Now the brand promises it can be done in 25 minutes. The exact loading speed has not yet been communicated.
-
More force
The improved electric motor also delivers more power. While the Enyaq previously had 204 hp, the electric motor now produces up to 285 hp. This means you can now sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.7 seconds. Its predecessor achieved this in 8.8 seconds.
-
The price
You pay 1000 euros more for the new Skoda Enyaq 80. The 77 kWh version starts at 49,000 euros. The coupé costs at least 52,990 euros.
