The full name of the one-off: Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era. The development took two years and was carried out in cooperation with a collector who wanted to pay tribute to Bugatti’s history.

This Bugatti Chiron marks golden times

This Chiron does that by highlighting what the brand calls the golden days of Bugatti: from 1909 to 1956 and from 1987 to 2023. Incidentally, that suggests things are going downhill for Bugatti from now on, but he has the initiator of This project was probably not meant that way.

The right side of the Chiron Super Sport Golden Era draws attention to Bugatti’s early years, the left side to the modern era, which began in the 1980s with the EB 110 and was later continued under Volkswagen with the Veyron and Chiron. Bugatti is now owned by Rimac.

Drawn directly on the body with a pen

The idea behind the Golden Era is creative. Bugatti created 45 sketches that were hand-drawn directly onto the Chiron’s body. According to the manufacturer, this was quite a challenge, because the finish had to be such that the sketches would not fade over the next few decades.

There are 26 sketches on the passenger side and 19 drawings on the driver’s side. Signing a supercar worth a few million euros was quite intimidating for the designers and sometimes things went wrong. Therefore, the process took 400 hours.

Sketches were also applied to the interior

Of course, the interior has not been forgotten either. On the left and right door panels, three sketches were drawn on the leather with a fine brush. On the right the Type 35, the Type 57 SC Atlantic and the Type 41 Royale. Left the EB 110, Veyron and Chiron.
