One dead in Kiev in third consecutive night of Russian attacks on Ukraine

Powerful explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital for the third night in a row as a result a new Russian attackthe third in the last 24 hours, with 20 kamikaze drones that caused the death of at least one person, Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko reported on his Telegram account, and was collected by Efe.

All of the drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses, according to a report by the regional Military Administration, but debris from some of the drones fell on residential areas after being intercepted, causing damage to homes and private vehicles.

According to Mayor Klitschko, four people were injured they too were hospitalized, and 20 residents of an apartment building in one of the affected areas of the capital were evacuated after drone debris caused a fire in the building.

“The enemy continues to attack the capital,” the mayor wrote on his Telegram account. “This evening, explosions were heard in many parts of the city. One person died,” said Klitschko. In Darnytskyi district, a drone crash caused a fire in two private houses. Three cars caught fire in Pechersk, and a multi-storey building sparked another fire in Holosiivskyi, the district where the casualties occurred and where the building was evacuated. There were also explosions in Svyatoshynskyi and Podil, where a fire broke out in a residential building.

Drone attack in Moscow

The Russian capital also suffered drone attackwho damaged several buildings in Moscow in a drone attack this Tuesday morning, so far no casualties have been reported.

The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, explained this morning that “as a result of the drone attack, minor damage was caused to several buildings.” He added that city emergency services are at the scene to determine the circumstances of the event. Sobianin added that “so far, no one has been seriously injured”, while the emergency services evacuated the residents of the area for safety reasons. After the end of duty services, tenants will be able to return to their apartments,” the press release states.

After that, the governor of Moscow, Andrei Vorobyov, tried to calm the population, stating that the sounds of explosions that occurred during the night were the result of air defense work. “This morning, residents of some areas of the Moscow region could hear the sounds of explosions – this is our anti-aircraft defense. Approaching Moscow, several drones were shot down. I am asking people to remain calm,” he explained via his Telegram profile.
