According to various media, actor Jefferson Machado was found lifeless in a wooden box. He was buried in a backyard, according to “People Magazine” and the “New York Post”.

The backyard in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where Machado was found belonged to a house rented by a friend of the actor. He is currently under investigation.

As the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reports, the box in which the investigators found the body of the 44-year-old was not only buried, but also poured with cement. So it took nine people to lift the coffin out of the ground.

Fans of Machado were notified of his death via Facebook and Instagram. “It is with regret that I confirm the sad news that actor Jeff Machado has passed away,” his lawyer said. In addition, signs of strangulation were discovered on his body. The South American was identified by his fingerprints.

In February, friends reported the actor missing as they had last seen him in January. Family members were genuinely concerned when they found his eight dogs abandoned and without their owners. Machado had a great passion for animals. On his Instagram channel, he repeatedly devoted himself to the dogs by posting photos and videos of them online.

As an actor, Machado was last seen in the movie “Placebo Effect” (original: “Efeito Placibo”) 2021. Until his death, he starred in the telenovela “Journey”.
