After his scandalous performance in Berlin last week, the police are apparently investigating rock star Roger Waters. The news portal “Jewishnews” reports this, citing a police spokesman.

The portal quotes the spokesman as saying that state protection is investigating the incitement to hatred against Waters. During his appearance on May 17, Waters wore a long black leather jacket and red armbands – clothes that the spokesman said were “fit to glorify Nazi rule”.
Waters had not only worn the said outfit at previous concerts, but also released a balloon in the shape of a pig, which included a Star of David.

Waters was criticized shortly after the performance. The former “Pink Floyd” musician “pollutes the memory of Anne Frank and the six million Jews murdered in Berlin during the Holocaust,” Israel’s foreign ministry wrote on Twitter. Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon called Waters “one of the greatest Jew-haters of our time”.
The Berlin police were initially not available for a statement to t-online.
