A mother who was traveling with six minors in her car is killed in MiamiFlorida (United States), after a arguing with another driverwho shot him and ran away, according to authorities.
The incident happened in northeast Miami on Tuesday. in front of a schooland children traveling with the woman, apparently her children, witnessed the attack, Miami-Dade County police said.
A police spokesman explained to the media that the mother had an argument with a group that was in another car. Someone in the other car pulled out a gun and shot the mother, who ended up crashing into two other vehicles, Rodríguez said, according to NBC6 in Miami. The mother died, and the children between the ages of 7 and 17 were unharmed.
Miami-Dade police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, but did not release any additional details. For its part, Miami-Dade school police said Oak Grove Elementary School, near the crime scene, was placed on temporary lockdown after the incident.
Several local networks showed aerial images showing several police vehicles and a Miami-Dade fire truck surrounding at least three cars involved in the crash.
Investigators said the suspect involved in the shooting fled the scene before police arrived, according to local media. Authorities are seeking the cooperation of citizens and information about the shooting from anyone who was near the scene.
