Shocking images from Belgorod: Russian neo-Nazis have occupied several villages in the Russian region.

According to information from Moscow, fighting in the western Russian city of Belgorod has ended. Behind the attacks were the “Legion Free Russia” and the “Russian Volunteer Corps”, made up of Russian neo-Nazis. The latter had already attacked the villages in Bryansk near the border in March. Now it happened again – and on a bigger scale. With this, Russian President Vladimir Putin (70) needs an explanation.

According to the Russian army, the fighters who entered the border area on Monday pushed back and “turned off”. According to the Russian defense ministry, the nationalist groups were “stopped and destroyed” in an “anti-terrorist operation” involving airstrikes and artillery fire. The remaining “nationalists” were “pushed back to the territory of Ukraine,” where the Russian army’s “destructive attacks” continued until the combatants were “completely destroyed.”

70 neo-Nazis are said to have been killed

According to the information, the Russian army killed more than 70 “Ukrainian terrorists”. As usual, the Ministry of Defense does not provide any information about casualties or damage on the Russian side. The information cannot be independently verified at this time. The Kremlin blames Kiev, but pro-Russian military bloggers and propagandists wonder: How did the Russians in Russia come to attack their own country?

One thing is clear: the Russian neo-Nazis have crossed the border from Ukraine. However, it remains unclear how the fighters were able to cross the border. Elsewhere in March, 42 fighters already succeeded. It is not yet clear how many men are involved this time.

boundary is unclear

Ruslan Pukhov, 49, who is part of the Russian government’s expert council, said in March about the attack on Bryaznk: “It is difficult to close the border there.” There are many forests on the border, which makes the situation confusing. Belgorod is more than 400 kilometers south of Bryansk. Has the Russian government learned nothing from the attacks?

Military blogger Alexander Kots (44) expresses his anger about the current situation on Telegram and demands answers from the Russian government. «What about the technical equipment at the border, the surveillance systems, the tracking and motion detection systems? What about mines in potentially dangerous areas? What about anti-tank weapons? Why were the enemy’s armored personnel carriers able to penetrate deep into our territory unimpeded?” He cannot explain how the attack could have happened.

Prigozhin had warned many times

Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin (61) also shoots at the Russian government. “There is a lack of a state and a waste of public money,” he says. “Instead of ensuring the security of the state, some are siphoning off money, others are fooling around.” The oligarch repeatedly criticizes the Kremlin’s handling of money.

Prigozhin recently claimed that his men are not getting any equipment, even though the money is there. Prigozhin criticizes: “There are no people ready to defend their country. I have often said that in Belgorod and Kursk oblasts.”

Moscow blames Kiev and makes no distinction between pro-Ukrainian fighters and the army. Kiev denies – at least in part. The government said it was not directly involved in the attack. “Russia is going through a difficult time,” Putin said on Tuesday. “But this is a special moment that strengthens togetherness and national feeling.” But the fear remains with the population.
