“I don’t want to go to prison, this punishment scares me a lot,” says Daniel Eckert (22). He was sentenced to five months in prison on Monday. His crime: The member of the climate protest group “Last Generation” along with two other activists again blocked traffic a few hours after they had already been sentenced to prison.
“You did not take the first verdict as an opportunity to question your conduct,” the judge said when the verdict was handed down. “You said that nothing else impresses you,” she told the suspect.
