At least 30 injured in Bangladesh train crash

According to a newspaper report, at least thirty people were injured in a train accident in Bangladesh. Some of them were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident on Sunday evening, local “The Daily Star” reported, citing police. Accordingly, a passenger train collided with a freight train in a station.

Photos from the scene of the accident in the Comilla neighborhood showed wagons jumping off the rails. Emergency services searched for survivors in the partially destroyed car. It was unclear if there had been any deaths. According to the report, seven cars and the locomotive derailed. The rescue work continued through the night.
