Sticking strangely to the table: Putin during a conversation in the Kremlin.

The leaked documents from the Pentagon reveal another interesting piece of information: According to this, Russian President Vladimir Putin (70) is suffering from cancer. The relevant excerpts from the leaks say that Nikolai Patrushev (71) of the Russian National Security Council and Valery Gerasimov (67), Chief of Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, plotted to overthrow Putin. To weaken the Kremlin chief, the Russian invasion had to be sabotaged by moving troops to the southern front.

The execution was scheduled for March 5. At that very moment, chemotherapy was announced for Putin. According to the leaks, he cannot prevent the plans from being carried out. These include “Vice” and “The Sun”.

Last week, classified documents from a Pentagon intelligence report surfaced on the Internet – first on Discord game servers, later on Telegram and Twitter. The classified documents were apparently printed and photographed. In addition to information on troop movements and losses in Ukraine, the documents also contain daily intelligence reports, a collection of summary information from various sources around the world.

As early as March, a Russian secret agent said according to “Mirror” that Putin “suffers from a serious form of rapidly progressing cancer”. And he added: “He doesn’t have more than two to three years to live.” It is also said that he has a headache and can no longer see clearly. His tongue is also “numb”.

Other illnesses?

Rumors about Putin’s illness have been circulating for a long time. It is also said that he suffers from Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. It is especially striking how Putin always keeps one of his arms stiff, makes uncontrolled movements or holds on to the table. Putin would regularly pump himself full of steroids.

There was never any confirmation that he was ill. Putin’s critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky (59) said in an interview with Blick in February: “I don’t know how he is. But he is certainly not seriously ill.” The Ukrainian secret service also recently pointed out that Putin can still be expected in the foreseeable future.

Hoping for a change of power

The leaks would be the first confirmation that the Russian ruler is in ill health. Russia expert Ulrich Schmid (57) of the University of St. Gallen tells Blick: “If Putin could no longer direct Russian politics, it would be a game changer.”

What effect would a change of power have on the war? Schmid: “According to the constitution, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, a liberal insider and technocrat, would take over the duties of the president in this case.” It is difficult to imagine that Mishustin would continue the war in its present form. “But even a quick peace would not be in sight,” says Schmid. “Probably Mishustin would freeze the actions of the Russian army.”
