Riot over police operations in Germany: A hairdresser from Hilden in North Rhine-Westphalia was standing in front of his shop when heavily armed police forces from the Special Task Force (SEK) suddenly appeared in front of his salon and overpowered him.

The barber was allegedly badly beaten, beaten and tied up by the special forces. The police officers acted very rudely. During the arrest, the man suffered a cut and several bruises. After the brutal operation, he had to be hospitalized before spending two months behind bars, reports the “Rheinische Post”.

Camera confiscated

The hairdresser is now defending himself against the efforts of the police. He has taken legal action for this. Only: there is no evidence. His surveillance camera, which is supposed to document the incident, was confiscated by the police and the footage was deleted under the guise of protecting privacy. This was later confirmed by a police spokesman.

A lawyer told the Rheinische Post that removing evidence is a criminal offence. “A removal may only take place if there is a concrete suspicion that the material will be published. The video must be saved anyway.” Otherwise it would be destruction of evidence.

The barber was released without charge after two months because there was insufficient suspicion. (A)
