At least five people died and six were injured as a result of the shooting that took place this Monday in the bank of the American city of Louisville in Kentucky, said the police, who also confirmed death of the alleged attacker.
Louisville police officers and the FBI went to the scene, where authorities initially reported an “active shooter” and urged citizens to avoid the area. Less than an hour later, authorities confirmed that the alleged attacker had been “neutralized.” The police have confirmed that among the injured is at least one member of the security forces, reports CNN.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced his visit to the scene on Twitter. “Pray for all the families affected and for the city of Louisville,” he said in his first reaction.
