Israel describes it as an attempt to kill two women

Two Israeli women were killed, and the third was seriously injured in an alleged shooting attack in the northern occupied West Bank, Israeli sources reported.

Spokesman for Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service He specified that the incident was being investigated as a “terrorist attack”, the terminology used for attacks committed by Palestinians.

The army, for its part, announced that after receiving a report of a “traffic accident between a Palestinian and an Israeli vehicle”, its soldiers went to the scene and identified “numerous bullet holes in Israeli vehicle”so they concluded that “the accident was actually a shooting”.

Israeli soldiers blocked roads in the area as part of the search for those responsible, who fled, said the army spokesman.

This action coincides with escalation of tensions between Israelis and Palestinianswhich began on Wednesday with clashes between police and Muslim worshipers at the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and continued with major exchanges of fire with Palestinian militias in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon.
