Trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney has been working with Bud Light for about a week. In a video promoting a competition for the popular American beer, she shows off a can with her face on it. This is because she is celebrating “365 days of femininity” as she says in the video. The box is a custom product, of which there is only this one copy.
While the flat beer, virtually unknown in Europe, irritates some people if they consume it in excess, the fact that Bud Light is partnered with a trans person irritates certain Americans.
Probably the most prominent to get upset is the singer, rapper and anti-vaccination kid Rock. In a video on Twitter, the 52-year-old expresses himself briefly and shoots at a stack of beer cartons:

He greets viewers with a cryptic “Grandpa is playful today” and says he’d like to say a few words and clarify something. Then he doesn’t say a word, but pulls out a submachine gun and fires at a stack of Bud Light, nicely placed on a wooden table. The projectiles that miss the target do not end up in a safe backstop, but directly in the water.
Then Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, points his middle finger at the camera and sings:
Anheuser-Busch is the brewery that produces more than 100 other beers in addition to Bud Light, including Corona, Löwenbräu and Stella Artois.
Rock isn’t the only one upset about working with Mulvaney. Under the hashtag “Go wake go broken” other (mainly white, male) Americans also show what they think of the advertising campaign.
Sebastian Gorka, a former aide to Donald Trump, shared with the world how he throws an entire six-pack of Bud Light through the Güsel. Waste separation seems strange to him.

Derek Imig of Las Vegas writes that he will never buy Bud Light again and that this is the first time he has bought the (comparably tasteless) Coors Light. Whether he knows that Coors is one of the main sponsors of LGBTQ events in his hometown of Denver remains to be seen.
This is the first six pack of @CoorsLight I ever bought. No joke. #budlight it is over!! https://t.co/bpfxMQCV8L pic.twitter.com/gIP6olWm8e
