“We look forward to meeting President Zelensky at our summit in Vilnius in July,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in Brussels on Tuesday. The NATO summit will be held in Lithuania’s capital on July 11-12. It was initially unclear whether the president of the country attacked by Russia would actually come. For security reasons, such trips are not announced.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, Zelenskyy has rarely left his country. The first trip took him to Poland and the US in December, where he met his American colleague Joe Biden, among others. In February he traveled to London, Paris and Brussels for political talks. He is expected in the Polish capital Warsaw on Wednesday.
