You must be so lucky! Pharris Frank has won the same lottery twice. Less than two years ago, the man from North Carolina (USA) bought a ticket and won the jackpot of one million dollars.
According to CNN, the American then had the following choice: either he could have $ 855,006, the profit after tax, paid out, or withdraw $ 100,000 annually for the next 20 years.
Frank opted for the one-off payment. In his own words, he spent a large part of it on his dream wedding. Now he tried his luck again. $20 bought Frank another ticket this year. When he scratched it loose, he couldn’t believe his own eyes. He had hit the jackpot again – this time he had even won two million dollars.
According to the lottery, the odds of winning are about 1 in 1.5 million. But it gets even more curious as the American even predicted his victory. “It’s crazy because the day before I won, my boyfriend asked me how it felt to win a million dollars,” Frank said. “And I told him I’m going to double it.”
He bought both lucky lots along the way. “The first time I won it was two miles from my house and this time it was four and a half hours.” The American wonders, “What are the chances of me being there right now?” With the second win, he now wants to treat himself to a holiday with his wife.
You can’t get much luckier than Pharris Frank. But only almost. Kürsat Y.* (42), better known as Chico, has already won the lottery three times – within six months. (obf)
