Jasmin M. from Eigeltingen (D) has been missing for six weeks. All searches by the police turned up nothing.

Jasmin M. (21) from Eigeltingen-Heudorf, Germany, not far from the Swiss border, has been missing for weeks. She was last seen on February 19 in Konstanz – there has been no trace of her since. All searches by the police have so far turned up nothing.

Almost a week after M.’s disappearance, the police have already arrested a suspect. This is Robert S. (42), Jasmin’s ex-boyfriend. As the “Südkurier” writes, the two would have broken up shortly before Mrs. disappeared. Could S. not cope with the divorce and therefore killed his ex-girlfriend?

Ex-boyfriend is silent

Research by the newspaper shows that the burden of proof against the 42-year-old must be high. “An investigating judge has issued an arrest warrant at our request. This requires urgent suspicion,” confirms Johannes-Georg Roth, head of the Konstanz public prosecutor’s office. The presumption of innocence applies to S.

The police suspect a violent crime. S. has been silent so far. In the numerous interrogations in which he was asked what could have happened on February 19, he remained silent.

One thing is clear: if S. is actually the perpetrator, he will do everything he can to cover it up. A few days after the disappearance, he shared a search call from Jasmine’s mother.

It is unlikely that Jasmin’s body is at the bottom of Lake Constance

Since the disappearance of the young woman, the police have conducted several house searches. They searched on land, in the water or in the air for possible clues to Jasmine’s whereabouts.

A trail led to Jasmin’s car, which investigators discovered in a parking lot at the Bora Spa in Radolfzell. An investigation by the “Südkurier” showed that M. did not drive the car there himself. The police now assume that the suspect parked the black Toyota Corolla there to mislead the police.

The investigators also examined Robert S.’s motorboat. However, the police consider it unlikely that Jasmine’s body sank in Lake Constance.

More searches planned for next week

Police currently believe the alleged crime scene is in or around the Eigeltinger district of Heudorf. The focus is on the vast forest area north of Heudorf. As the paper continues, the culprit could have hidden Jasmin’s body there.

According to the police, further searches are planned for the coming week. So there is still hope to solve the mystery of Jasmine M’s disappearance. (dzc)
