Polin, who thinks she’s Maddie McCann, gives interview: “I have the same facial expressions”

“When did you first think you could be Madeleine McCann?” talk show host Phil McGraw asks the 21-year-old in the studio. “It was June 2022,” Wendell replies.

Her mother never hugged her or told her she loved her. She thought that was suspicious and had a gut feeling that something wasn’t right. Then she went to investigate.

She then discovered striking similarities to herself in Maddie’s photos and for the first time thought she might be the girl who disappeared from a holiday resort in Portugal in 2007.

The similarities in the photos are also featured in the TV show. So Maddie has a spot in her iris. A very similar, if somewhat faded, can also be found in Wendell’s eye. She also thinks that her facial expressions in photos from her teenage years are very similar to Maddie’s.

She also explains in the show that her mother used to tell her that she was her biological mother and that she gave birth to her. “But she never wanted to show me evidence of that,” Wendell said.

The young Pole always had reason to be suspicious: to this day, her mother has not agreed to a DNA test. In addition, every child in Poland has a kind of health card. In her pages, 0 to 6 are empty.

After it first occurred to her that she might be Maddie, she contacted both the Polish and British embassies. However, no one took her seriously. She then decided to draw attention to herself and the suspicion via social media.

The Polish woman recently underwent three DNA tests and another genetic test, which should shed light on whether she is indeed the missing Maddie. (con)
