Just a few months ago, this man would have to say goodbye to his dog forever. But thanks to today’s technology – more precisely thanks to ChatGPT – the story took a happy turn.

The dog owner, whose name is Cooper on Twitter, recently revealed that his dog Sassy had been diagnosed with a tick-borne illness.

Even the vet was stunned

Despite intensive treatment, Sassy’s condition continued to deteriorate. Even the vet couldn’t figure it out. He just has to wait and hope, the doctor told the owner.

But the man didn’t want to put up with that. He got a second opinion. However, not with a medical professional, but on the recently re-released version of the chatbot ChatGPT.

So Sassy’s owner entered her blood counts into the program and hoped for a diagnosis. And indeed: the chatbot has been delivered.

Tests confirm the results of the chatbot

The program suggested that the blood counts and test results could be due to several underlying conditions. Sassy’s disease could therefore be an immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA), ie an immune disease that attacks the red blood cells.

Shortly afterwards, the man sought advice from another vet and asked him if there could actually be anything in the ChatGPT4 results. After many tests, the end result was finally available. The chatbot hit the mark. “ChatGPT4 saved my dog’s life,” the man wrote on Twitter. He published the detailed question to the artificial intelligence on his profile.

Sassy’s treatment was immediately switched. His bitch has now almost completely recovered, according to the relieved owner. He is still amazed at how quickly and efficiently ChatGPT was able to help his dog. “I can’t imagine what medical diagnostics will look like in 20 years,” he writes. (ceded)
