Suddenly a millionaire. This dream has come true for a pensioner from Leipzig (D). However, he could have celebrated his victory a month earlier.
The newly minted millionaire was stunned when he was informed about his 2.5 million. The man from Leipzig tapped the correct six numbers in the lottery draw on February 18, the ‘Bild’ writes. Only now, about a month later, did he discover his happiness. The reason: His favorite lottery acceptance point was closed at the end of February.
The pensioner had not checked his fate for the past month. The lottery headquarters in Saxony had already wondered when the winner would finally collect the millions. After some time, he was even publicly searched for.
Although the pensioner found out about the search, he never thought he was the lucky one. The man from Leipzig wanted to participate in the lottery again this week. In doing so, he accidentally came across the crumpled game receipt in his wallet. (lia)
