“What poison can kill a man unnoticed?” James C. * (45) is said to have entered this request into the search engine on his computer, according to the US authorities. He put the first drug in his shopping cart and ordered it for home. A few days later his wife, mother of their six children, died. Poisoned by her husband.

Now the researchers have revealed the background to the fact. The Colorado dentist wanted to get rid of his wife to elope with his lover. Even before his wife died, he had her flown to Denver, as reported by the New York Post.

“I Didn’t Poison You”

According to police, he began putting toxic chemicals in his wife’s protein shake in early March. According to the authorities, it was not the first time that the 45-year-old had administered drugs to his wife, but it was the last time.

After taking the shake, Angela C.* († 43) wrote to her husband that she felt “drugged”. She then had to be put on artificial respiration in the hospital. “Given our past together, that must be strange to you. But to be clear, I didn’t poison you,” her husband wrote.

The murder was discovered accidentally

A lie, as it turned out. An office worker had accidentally opened one of his packages and read the potassium cyanide label on the container. She then got suspicious and checked the chemical. Suspicion soon arose: James C. could have poisoned his wife.
