About a week ago, twelve-year-old Luise F.* from Freudenberg (D) was brutally stabbed to death in the woods by two classmates (12 and 13). Detectives then searched for the murder weapon for days – without success.
Now about 30 officials have given up searching for the knife until further notice, “Focus” reports.
“Further searches are not currently planned,” senior prosecutor Patrick Baron von Grotthuss of the Siegen prosecutor’s office said Monday. They have done everything they can to find the murder weapon and currently see little chance of finding it.
According to the chief public prosecutor, everything was used for the search. Sniffer dogs and technical equipment were also deployed. However, none of this led to success. Accordingly, the search is difficult because the exact location is not known and the search area cannot be narrowed.
Last Thursday, it seemed that the search could take the long-awaited turn. The detectives had received new information, so that a short search was scheduled for later in the afternoon.
However, the authorities also failed in this mission. The knife is gone. (ceded)
