Is the US making ex-President Donald Trump (76) a martyr? Trump has announced that he will be arrested and charged on Tuesday. He heard this about “illegal leaks from a corrupt and highly political Manhattan prosecutor’s office.” If Trump is actually taken away, he will win the 2024 presidential election with a “landing victory,” Twitter owner Elon Musk, 51, tweeted Saturday.
The world’s richest person tweeted in response to a Fox News report discussing the possibility of the former president being taken “in handcuffs” by New York City Attorneys. The post speculated how Trump could be “fingerprinted” and “accompanied to court”. Accordingly, law enforcement and the Secret Service are discussing “logistics” and “security preparations” for the possible course of Trump’s arrest.
“If that happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory,” Musk wrote in response to a similar prediction from Canadian lawyer Viva Frei, 43.
Opponents accuse Trump of inciting supporters. This is because the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has been considering indicting Trump for some time over alleged campaign finance violations.
Such an indictment would be the first of its kind in US history. Even former President Richard Nixon (1913-1994) was not prosecuted after he resigned in the wake of the Watergate scandal. New York prosecutors are trying to politically “arm” the justice system, according to Trump’s lawyers.
Trump is also currently seeking the spotlight on another front. “I’m back!”, he wrote in capital letters on Facebook on Friday after being blocked for more than two years. In addition, Trump posts an old three-second video of his words, “I’m sorry to keep you waiting, but the matter is complicated.”
Trump’s suspended Twitter account has also been reactivated since a user survey conducted by Musk in November, but initially remains orphaned.
